We needed to take some notes today, so we did so by rotating through six stations of information. Two of the stations had videos that contained slides with information and the other four had a handout with some information and questions that each group answered. The students moved through the stations with their groups and we spent eight minutes at each. Stations are a great alternative to the traditional lecture and notes.
The actual information covered today was all about our first unit, Digital Communication. We learned about networks (hardware, how the internet works, browsers, etc), Digital Footprints, online threats and how to prevent them, online safety, and online tracking. The students submitted their notes as the day's assignment. We'll review the information next class with a game (after our email and calendar assignment).
