For this unit, there are two assessments: "Do it" and "Know it". To review for the "Do it" assessment, the students were provided a list of skills they need to have and a populated spreadsheet on which to practice. Typically, students do better on the "Do it" than the "Know it" assessments since we practice the skills in class over the whole unit.
For the "Know it" review, the students took a Canvas practice quiz that draws questions from the actual test bank for the Level 1-2 questions. So, in theory, a student should be guaranteed a 2 on this assessment if they take the practice quiz several times since they have seen all the questions and answers. The Level 3 questions are fill-in-the-blank (we have a word bank) and then the Level 4 question is open-ended.
After reviewing, the rest of class time was used for catching up on any missing work. For those students who might want to retake either of the unit assessments, they will need to have all their assignments submitted before being allowed to do so.
